Exhibition

This was the main project for my third year of first degree in architectural studies. As a space intended for exhibition, the programme called for long span structure with column free space above an existing car park which was originally built in the mid-century. The site was located in front of the headquarter building of Hong Kong Bank designed by Sir Norman Foster. My proposal for the additional structure took the form of double curvature parabolic tensile roof with cables to be terminated on either end of the envelope that formed a major feature for the exhibition venue. Nearly twenty years later, Zaha Hadid, the well-known international architect, had built a temporary exhibition pavilion on the roof top of the carpark.
